Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 6, 2026

FeedTalk (“FeedTalk,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) helps you save, replay, read, and reinforce the content that matters to you across our web app, mobile apps, and browser extension (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and basic profile details (such as your display name and avatar) needed to create and secure your account. If you use Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, we receive only your name and email address from that provider — and if you choose Apple’s Hide My Email, we only ever see the private relay address it issues, never your real one.
  • Content you save. Articles, URLs, highlights, annotations, notes, tags, and other items you add to your library, so we can store, organize, and resurface them for you.
  • Usage data. Information about how you interact with the Service — such as features used, device and browser type, and log data — to operate, secure, and improve the product.
  • Subscription data. If you purchase a subscription, our payment processors (such as Stripe and the Apple App Store or Google Play, via RevenueCat) handle your payment details. We receive subscription status and transaction metadata, but we do not store full payment card numbers.

How we use your information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • Generate AI summaries, takeaways, audio reviews, and search results grounded in the content you save.
  • Sync your library across your devices.
  • Send service-related communications, and — where you have opted in — notifications and reminders.
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

AI processing

To power summaries, audio review, and library Q&A, content you save may be processed by third-party AI providers acting as our processors. We share only what is needed to perform the requested task, and we do not sell your content. These providers are contractually restricted from using your content to train their models except as needed to provide the service to us.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

  • With service providers (hosting, storage, analytics, payment, and AI providers) who process data on our behalf under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
  • When required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of FeedTalk, our users, or the public.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Privacy Policy.

Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may delete individual items at any time, or delete your account to remove your associated personal data, subject to limited retention required for legal, security, or accounting purposes.

Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your account from inside the app at any time, without contacting us. In the mobile apps, go to Profile → Delete Account; on the web, go to Profile → Danger Zone → Delete Account. You will be asked to confirm twice, and the deletion cannot be undone.

When you delete your account:

  • Deleted immediately. Your sign-in credentials are destroyed, so the account can no longer be accessed by any means, and all of your content — saved articles, talks, highlights, annotations, notes, tags, collections, and reading progress — is deleted from our database.
  • Deleted within 30 days. Generated audio and images are moved to restricted storage that no longer serves them to anyone, and are permanently erased within 30 days. This short window exists only so we can help if an account is deleted by mistake.
  • Retained. De-identified billing and transaction records, which we are required to keep for tax and accounting purposes. These are no longer linked to your name or email address.

Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, cancel it in your device’s subscription settings; if you subscribed on the web, cancel it through your billing provider before deleting your account.

Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can manage much of your data directly within the app, or contact us to exercise these rights.

Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

International users

We may process and store your information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
